Daniel Doucet, AACI, P.App, Fellow
Daniel is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and has 35 years of experience as a real estate appraiser. His work as a generalist began in Eastern Canada covering all four Maritime Provinces during which time he spent 13 years with Altus Group with whom he relocated to the Toronto area in late 2016. Daniel has been involved in numerous high profile assignments in Ontario. Although having appraised all types of properties, his specialty is litigation and Expropriation assignments, vacant land, agricultural, special purpose properties and First Nations Specific Land Claims valuations. Daniel has been declared an expert witness before various courts and tribunals in the field of real estate appraisal.
Daniel has spoken at a number of industry conferences on the subject of the Subdivision Development Approach, Injurious Affection from High Voltage Transmission Lines and First Nations Specific Land Claims valuations.
Daniel is past president of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (2016-17) and currently resides in Drayton, Ontario where he works as an independent valuation consultant with his life partner, Alinda Dekker, CRA, P.App, owner of Dekker Appraisal Services.
