Alinda grew up on a combination dairy/pig farm in The Netherlands and worked on dairy, pig, and chicken farms as a teenager. Before becoming an appraiser, Alinda worked as a show jumping groom, a job that took her to the 1995 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

With more than two decades of professional appraisal experience, Alinda has developed a specialized expertise in the valuation of rural residential properties, agricultural, vacant agricultural land, and small-town real estate throughout Southern Ontario. She has held the Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA) designation since 2008 and is recognized for providing independent, objective, and well-supported appraisal reports that clients can rely on for important financial and legal decisions.

In order to conform to the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP), agricultural and acreage appraisal reports are reviewed and co-signed by Daniel Doucet, P.App. AACI (Fellow).

Alinda has been declared an expert witness before the Superior Court of Justice.

Beyond serving her clients, Alinda is an active leader within the appraisal profession. She has served as President of the Ontario Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and continues to contribute to the advancement of professional appraisal standards across the province.
